特異な経過を示した原発性副甲状腺機能亢進症の2例 急性副甲状腺機能亢進症の1剖検例及び精神症状を合併した原発性副甲状腺機能亢進症の1治験例

Abstract

Two cases of primary hyperparathyroidism with an unusual course were recently encountered. Case 1 : A 27-year-old man was admitted with uremia following abdominal pain and severe vomiting. An increase of blood calcium was observed, confirming acute hyperparathyroidism. He died before neck exploration was attempted . The postmortem examination revealed a chief cell adenoma in the left inferior pole of the thyroid gland . Case 2 : A 31-year-old woman was transfered for evaluation of hyp e r calcemia and a decreased renal function following right ureterolithotomy . During the examination, mental disturbances suddenly occurred. She was diagnosed as schizophrenia . She was operated on for neck exploration with the removal of a large adenoma in the left inferior region of the neck. She was well postoperatively and her mental disorders were arrested . The two cases were the 20 th and 22nd cases of primary hyperparathyr o idism in the Department of Urology, Osaka University Medical School . A review was made on the related literatures .
