抄録: Experimental damage was produced in the kidn e y of rabbit by mercury chloride, ischemia and experimental hydronephrosis and the tissue of kidney was studied by means of histochemical techniques for various enzymatic activities such as acid and alkaline phosphatases, phosphorylase, $-glucuronidase and succinic-dehydrogenase. Biochemical determinations for glycogen and phosphorylase were carried out simultaneously. The results obtained were of interests on the relation betw een the histochemical staining reactions and the functional pathology. In the ischemic and toxic kidneys, the staining reactions indicated evidences of regeneration of the necrotoxic tubules. In the experimental hydronephrosis, however, functional impairments were straight progressive, although some of enzymatic activities were found to remain in some of tubullar cells even in the period of 30 days observation.
