dc.description.abstract | Vitamin K1, known as an important factor related to blood coagulation shows peculiar clinical effects in the treatment of urinary tract infections and dysuria complicated in traumatic paraplegics. (1) Ba c teriologic cures are obtained in some cases only by an oral administration of vitamin K1 30 mg daily. (2) Bacteriolog i c cure rate 2 days after the combined administration of sensitive antibiotics and vitamin K1 is superior to that 2 days after the administration of sensitive antibiotics alone. (3) Or a l administration of vitamin K1 30 mg daily to the traumatic paraplegics is inclined to make normotensive bladder hypertensive, just as bethanechol chloride. (4) The best indication of vitamin K1 in the treatment of the u r i nary tract complications of traumatic paraplegics is seemed to be the urinary tract infections complicated to hypotensive bladder. | en |
