Stein-Leventhal症候群の1例

Abstract

A 22 year old woman visited our clinic with complaints of hirsutism and amenorrhea. Laboratory examinations revealed this case to be Stein-Leventhal's syndrome. Fifteen cases of this syndrome were reported up to date in the J apanese literature. Wedge resection of both ovaries brought amelioration of the menstruation six months later. The authors would stress that Stein-Leventhal's syndrome is one of the most important diseases which cause masculinization of the female in the urological field.
