dc.description.abstractThirty one patients underwent the excretory urogram by continuous infusion of contrast media (Angioconray) during the period from December 1964 to November 1965. The procedure was performed under the continuous intravenous infu s ion of 80 cc of 40 % Angioconray at the speed of 3 cc per minute following the initial intravenous injection of 20 cc of 80 % Angioconray for a period of 40 to 60 seconds. The X-ray pictures were taken at 3, 5, 15, and 30 minutes after starting of the initial injection. In some cases of renal dysfunction, the X-ray photography was extended to several hours. The n ew urographic technique, using continuous infusion of contrast media, intensified visualization of renal collecting systems and ureters in obstructed kidneys or those with reduced renal function. Since the procedure did not cause any serious side effects nor complains of patients, it is supposed that the method is a very valuable and useful one to be done alternative of retrograde pyelography.en
