dc.description.abstractThe report deals with a use of new medicine, Cephaloridine , CER, in the field of urology. The results obtained on 18 cases of various urological diseases are summarized as follows. 1) After single injection of CER, 0.25g or 0.125g, its blood level reached to the peak in 2 hours at the both dosage, and the effective blood level continued for the following 4 hours, although the blood level itself decreased rapidly. 2) After single injection of CER, 0.25 g, th e cumurative urinary excretion rate was 66.1% in 6 horus. 3) In 1 8 patiens with various urinary tract infections who were treated with CER, excellent, marked and no effects were obtained in 8, 6 and 4 cases respectively, with the effectiveness being 77.7%. 4) The most r e markable effect was observed in acute cases, although some effects were expectable even in chronic cases. 5) The drug was most effecti v e against Staphylococci infections. The effectiveness against E. coli was recorded as 84.6% which was also distinguishable. 6) No significant side effect was recognized. 7) In conclusion, it is recommende d to inject CER 1.0g a day, devided several times, to expect more excellent results.en
