dc.description.abstract1) Seventeen cases of prcstatic hypertrophy and two cases of prostatic inflammation were treated with EVIPROSTAT. Of the former, remarkable, moderate and poor effectiveness were found in 2, 8 and 4 cases respectively, and 3 cases were failed to follow up. Of the latter, one case was effective and the other case was ineffective. 2) Three cases of prostatic hypertrophy were subjected h istological examination with needle biopsy and found degenerative changes of glandular tissue and stroma. 3) After a course of EVIPROSTAT treatment, the results of u roflogram showed improvement. 4) PSP excretion rate was also improved after treatment with EVIPROSTAT. 5) Results of liver function tests, determinations of electrolytes and hemograms were not altered after the treatment. 6) No noticeable c hange in size of the porostatic gland was demonstrated after EVIPROSTAT treatment. 7) No s i de-effects were observed.en
