前立腺のDNA代謝 第3編: 正常ラット前立腺および実験的前立腺腫瘍発生のDNA代謝におよぼす性ホルモンの影響

Abstract

Effects of sexual hormones on the anterior lobe of the pro s tatic glands in male rats of the Wistar strain were examined by means of histological alterations and DNA synthetic patterns. Then the similar studies were performed on the effects of sexual hormones during development of prostatic tumors following injection of 20-methylcholanthrene. Administration of either testosterone propion a te 0.05mg or estradiol benzoate 0.002mg daily for 6 days per week demonstrated marked difference in histological alterations between the both hormones during 120 day's observation, while no significant difference was seen in radioautographic patterns. Administr a t ion of the above hormones following injection of 20-methylcholanthrene proved that the histological as well as autoradiographic alterations are significantly different between the both hormones. The finding suggested that female sexual hormone seems accelerate the development of experimental tumor in the rat's prostatic gland.
