膀胱腫瘍治療に関する1考察

Abstract

1. A follow-up study was made on a series of patients with tumours of the bladder who were hospitalized during the period 1955-1959 at Surgical Clinic I of Sahlgrenska Sjukhuset Goteborg, Sweden. This series is intended for comparison with a series not yet concluded, at the same clinics where supervoltage therapy is now employed. The prognosis is extremely poor not only for the T4 tumours, i.e. fixed tumours, but also for T3 tumours, i.e. with infiltration into the deep part of the muscular layer and/or with perivesical infiltration. The follow-up time for the series treated since 1962 with surgery and/ or supervoltage irradiation, is too short to allow a comparison with earlier series. However, it is already possible to state that a favourable effect can be observed in many cases of advanced carcinoma. In some cases where the regression was less satisfactory, the improvement was sufficient to allow cystectomy. 2. A functional stu d ies in some types of ileo- and colo-cystoplasty are demonstrated along with their cystometrogram. The im p roved and new types of intestinal bladder substitutes by avoiding urinary deviation to the abdominal wall may be of great advantage to the patients in many ways. For instance, the lessened risk of incontinence and the greater possibility to move about and carry on work are particularly important to the patient's morale.
