脊損患者の慢性尿路感染症に対するThiophenicol小量投与の効果

Abstract

Chronic urinary tract infections arisen in patients w ith spinal cord injury were treated with either small or ordinal dose of Thiophenicol. A comparative evaluations were made between the two groups on the clinical response, effect on serum bacteriocidal activity, blood and urine concentrations and development of resistance. The treatment with small dose of Th i ophenicol for chronic urinary tract infections in patients with spinal cord injury was considered to be worthwhile in view of the facts that it has little side effect and produce less effect on decrease of serum bacteriocidal activity, although caution should be paid in some cases who is aggravated after administration and have developed resistance to the drug.
