腎血管性高血圧症の1治験例

Abstract

The patient was a 21 years old female who complain e d of headache and was noted hypertension 220/160 mmHg. The routine lab o ratory examinations were not remarkable. The Howard test was positive as is shown in the table. The blue dye excretion was normal in the right side and was delayed in the left. The pyelography showed no abnormality bilaterally. The translumbar renoarteriography revealed normal right renal artery and slight narrowing and shortening of the left renal artery with constriction at the hilus of the kidney. In addition reticular vascular pictures descending around the left ureter from the left hilal area were observed. Based on the findings, a suspected diagnosis of left renovascular hypertension was made. The left nephrectomy resulted in decrease the blood pressure which has remained around 130/80 mmHg level for one year following the operation.
