急性膀胱炎に対するTSP錠と抗生物質との併用効果について

Abstract

A strong proteolytic emzyme preparation, TSP ta b let, derived from a new bacterial strain of the Serratia group E15 was administered to patients with acute cystitis in order to study its effectiveness of combination therapy with antibiotics for urinary tract infections. A total of 70 cases of acute cystitis was devided into 7 groups. T he first three groups were given TSP at the dose of 6 tablets a day for 5 days, the second three groups were given placebo at the same dose and duration and the last one group was given other kind of antiinflammatory enzyme preparation. The each group was accompanied with different antibiotics of 3 kinds, respectively. The effectiveness of the therapy for the urinary tract infection was evaluated by means of Takayasu's scoring method in each group. As the results, the patients treated with TSP showed definitely better clinical effects than those given placebo, especially on the improvement of objective findings such as urinalysis and urinary bacteria.
