異型嚢胞腎の1例

Abstract

A 59-year-old female, who had no family history of renal diseases, was admitted to the hospital with right flank pain for 3 years and mass on both kidney areas. She had no clinical abnormalities as to renal function. Urological X-ray examinations, however, showed atypical findings suggestive of polycystic kidney disease. Operative findings showed that both kidneys were multicystic, and those cysts varied in size from few milimeters to 10 cm in diameter. The operative procedure chosen was the resection of the cyst walls, which was successful. In this report discussions were made on the pathological and clinical findings, and also on the surgical treatment of atypical polycystic kidney disease.
