前立腺疾患に対するP.P.C.の試用経験

Abstract

P. P. C., a new therapeutic medicine for prostatic disease, was tested by a double blind method and the following results were obtained. 1) P. P. C. was given to 5 cases of prostatic hypertrophy and its effectiveness was evaluated to be excellent in 2, good in 2 and ineffective in 1. On the other hand, the result of administration of placebo was very effective in 1, good in 1 and ineffective in 4. 2) While P. P. C. for chronic prostatitis was evalutated as ineffective in 1, effective in 5 and excellent in 3; the administration of placebo was ineffective in 2 and effective in l. Thus, the therapeutic effects of P. P. C. were evident. 3) As for congestive prostatic disease, the administration of P. P. C. and of placebo made no significant difference. 4) No side effect was observed. The above results show that this medicine is effective for prostatic disease and well tolerated for a long period administration. P. P. C. is, therefore, recommended for a trial on chronic prostatic disease.
