尿道下裂を合併し男性半陰陽を思わせた重複直腸の1例

Abstract

A 15-year-old boy visited our clinic complaining anomaly of the external genitalia. Since he was born, he had been regarded as a male hermaphrodite with a male vagina and penoscrotal hypospadia. But various examinations performed under admission revealed the other anomalies such' as spina bifida of the sacrum and duplicated rectum opening into perineum, the structure of which had been previously considered the male vagina. The histology of biopsy specimen taken from the vagina-like structure was colonic mucosa, epithelium of which containing many goblet cells. His duplicated rectum was resected by the combined transperitoneal and perineal route. We stressed that in differential diagnosis of male hermaphroditism, duplication of the rectum must be kept in mind, although rare it might be.
