Spontaneous Pyelo-duodenal Fistulaの1例

Abstract

Spontaneous pyelo-duodenal fistula is exceedingly rare. Twenty-four cases of it have been reported in Europe and America, and 2 cases in Japan. A 36-year-old female was admitted for right loin pain and recurrent high fever. Retrograde pyelography showed the contrast dye passing through the pelvis into the duodenum, and intravenous pyelography showed a non-visualizing right kidney with a calculus. The left kidney was normal. Laboratory findings showed no abnormality. After the clinical diagnosis of pyelo-duodenal fistula was established, the definitive surgery by nephrectomy, excision of the fistulous tract and closure of the duodenum were carried out sa tisfactorily.
