下部尿路感染症に対するCephalexinならびにCephaloglycinの臨床効果

Abstract

1) Forty-five lower urinary infections were submitted for a double blind test of the drugs. 2) The cases consisted of 39 acute cystitis and 6 others. 3) Patients consisted of 6 males and 39 females. 4) Thirteen different microorganisms were indentified from 44 strains of culture, among which 29 were E. coli, 3 were Staphylococcus epidermidis, etc. 5) Administered drugs were cephalexin 1.0 g, cephaloglycin 1.0 g and aminobenzyl penicillin 2.0 g as a control. Each drug was given to 15 cases for five days. 6) Clinical evaluation was made on each drug as to symptoms and urinalysis. 7) All the drugs were clinically effective, with the effectiveness rate more than 90 %. 8) No side effects were experienced. 9) It was concluded that both of cephalexin and cephaloglycin are excellent drugs for acute cystitis.
