Abstract: | Spermatogenic activity test was carried out in ten adults by intravenous injection of 600~1, 000 µc of P32. The following results were obtained. 1) Radioactivity (a ray) could be counted from each testis independently. This enables the test to be a split testicular function test as to spermatogenesis. 2) Cpm-curve descended sharply after P32 administration and mostly presented a small peak during the sixth to tenth day. 3) Gonadotropin injection during the test resulted in an increase of cpm suggesting promoted P32 uptake by the testes. 4) Seminoma showed high P32 uptake in this study. Location of the tumor in the testis was possible before orchiectomy. |
