前立腺肥大症に対するPPCの治験

Abstract

In our previous report, the clinical effect of PPC applied to prostatic diseases was described. In this paper, in order to estimate the clinical effectiveness of PPC, so-called double blind test was carried out by means of administration of three kinds of compound arranged at random. These compounds are as follows: PPC: L-glutamic acid, L-alanine, amino-acetic acid PA : L-glutamic acid, L-alanine PG : L-glutamic acid The clinical result was estimated by the statistic method, that is, Fisher's direct calculation of probability. The calculated values showed the significant difference between PPC group and the controls, which means that the clinical effect of PPC is precisely more excellent than those of PA and PG for the treatment of subjective symptoms associated with prostatic hyperplasia. However, satisfactory improvement was not observed on rectal palpation or x-ray examination in any case.
