尿路感染症に対するナタシリンの使用経験

Abstract

Thirty cases of various urinary tract infections were treated with NATACILLIN (Hetacillin-K), a product of acetonation from aminobenzyl penicillin. The drug was administered intravenously 250 to 500mg each time and 1 to 4 times a day. The therapeutic effect was evaluated as follows: good 17, fair 8, non-effective 8 and undetermined 1. The effectiveness rate was therefore calculated as 73.5 % which seemed a relatively satisfactory result. The effect upon liver function, was investigated on GOT, GPT and alkaline phosphatase- and that upon renal function was studied on BUN, NPN and PSP test (15 min). Hemograms were also checked. The above examinations were carried out before, on termination of, and one week after administration. No untoward effects were observed on the liver, kidney, and hemopoietic organs. As side effects, slight vascular pain and nausea on injection were encountered in a small number of cases but only transient. One patient developed allergic shock despite negative skin test. This suggested us that care should be taken in the clinical use of this drug.
