尿管ロイコプラキーの1例

Abstract

A 16-year-old boy with exstrophy of the bladder developed a giant calculus in the right ureter. The ureter showed a leukoplakia of incomplete type at the site of stone impaction. Histological study was made with emphasis on the change at the junction of leukoplakia and the transitional epithelium. The change was compatible with preleukoplakia where no epithelial proliferation was present but the cells were arranged in a disorganized manner (Fig. 4). Double refraction could not be observed by polarizing analysis (Fig. 5). This particular lesion was thought to consist of totipotent and rather poorly differentiated cells.
