| dc.description.abstract | A total of 67 patients with benign prostatic hypertrophy have been treated with hydroxyprogesterone caproate, nortestosterone enanthate, and gestonorone caproate (SH 582) since 1965. A number of patients, especially those treated with SH 582, experienced a considerable subjective improvement, and dysuria could be frequently improved to a substantial degree, in any case much more than with the hitherto available, non-hormonal drugs. No significant sideeffects were observed. Good results in another 3 cases of prostatitis treated with SH 582 are also described. | en |
