膀胱癌再発に対するDiacetyl-glucaro-(1→4)(6→3)-dilactone(SLA)投与の検討

Abstract

1) 1.5 g/day of SLA was administered to 51 bladder tumor patients postoperatively for 3 to 46 months. Twenty-one patients were treated more than 24 months. The tumor recurrence was noted in 39.2 %, whereas it was 56.7 % in the control group. 2) Urinary J3-glucuronidase activity was inhibited by administration of SLA. In conjunction with Boyland's hypothesis on tumorigenesis of the urinary bladder, the preventive effect of SLA on tumor recurrence was conjectured. 3) Even in such a long-term administration of SLA, no side-effects were observed except for slight gastrointestinal disorder which required no discontinuation of the drug.
