会陰部副陰嚢の1例

Abstract

A 3-month-old boy was referred to Osaka University Hospital on November 10, 1970 because of an anomaly of external genitalia. The abnormality consisted of semipedunculated outpouching skin which located at the perineum, and it seemed to be the scrotum because of its serrations. This structure was circumscribed by the raphe which was normal in position at the penis and the normal anterior scrotum. Both testicles had descended into the normal anterior scrotum. No other anomalies could be found in further examinations including excretory urography and retrograde urethrocystography. On November 18, 1970, operation was performed and this structure was removed. The histologic picture and architecture of this specimen was that of scrotum. Daut and Daut (1949) reported the first case of posteriorly located accessory scrotum. This case is the second reported case of accessory scrotum.
