Abstract

One hundred renal tumors were experienced for past 13 years. 1. Incidence: They occupied 1.8% of all the urological patients admitted. 2. Initial symptoms.: Hematuria, renal mass and pain in the flank were frequently seen. Above all, hematuria was noticed in 57% of the renal parenchymal tumors and in 60% of tumors of the renal pelvis. 3. Diagnostic methods: Pyelography and aortography were most contributory. Urinary cytodiagnosis was also meaningful. 4. Treatment: Nephroureterectomy was mainly the treatment of choice. It was done in 51 of 69 renoparenchymal tumors and in 16 of 20 renal pelvic tumors. 5. Metastasis: The lung was the most frequent site of metastasis. It was noted in 29% of the parenchymal tumors and 30% of the renal pelvic tumors. 6. Five years survival: It was 31% in the parenchymal tumors, 33% in the pelvic tumors, and 40% in Wilms tumors. 7. Three years survival rate and chemotherapy:
