| dc.description.abstract | Inferior pyelo-nephrolithotomy was performed for twenty cases of renal calculi in which it was difficult to grasp the stones with stone-forceps by usual pyelotomy because of the pyelotomy opening being too small. In this operative procedure, the incision along the lower border of the renal pelvis was extended on the parenchyma of the lower pole for the purpose of giving ample space for the removal of stones. Discussions were made on comparison with other various operative procedures for renal calculi, regarding operative and postoperative courses. It was emphasized that this operative procedure is useful for large or multiple renal calculi, or calculi in the lower calyx. | en |
