睾丸のらい性病変による男子不妊症

Abstract

A 27-year-old man with lepromatous leprosy visited our infertility clinic complaining of childless marriage for three years. He had been known to have erythema nodosum leprosum with frequent attacks of fever. Semen analysis disclosed azoospermia. Testicular biopsy showed fibrosis infiltrated with vacuolated histiocytes without structures suggesting the normal seminiferous tubuli and Leydig cells. Acid-fast bacilli were stained positive. Urinary gonadotropin excretion was high. He did not present symptoms like Klinefelter's syndrome. Discussion was made on lepromatous orchitis.
