膀胱のinverted papilloma

Abstract

A case of inverted papilloma of the bladder was reported. A 48-year-old man was admitted to Osaka Keisatsu Hospital with complaints of hematuria and sudden stoppage of urinary stream. Cystoscopy revealed a polypoid tumor with smooth and glistening surface arising from the 4 o'clock position of the bladder neck. TUR was performed following preoperative diagnosis of the inverted papilloma. Histologically it was confirmed that the tumor had distinctive inverted epithelial structure covered by normal transitional epithelium. Only 6 cases have been reported previously. The tumors probably are benign and should not be confused with malignant bladder tumors.
