原発性アルドステロン症9例の臨床的観察 われわれの教室における副腎疾患の臨床 - その1-

Abstract

Nine cases of primary aldosteronism were operated in our clinic for the past 5 years until the end of 1972. All of them were typical hypopotassemic primary aldosteronism and were caused by unilateral cortical adenoma. Histologic findings of the renal biopsies were as follows; two cases of nephrosclerosis, tvvo cases of pyelonephritis, lhree cases of arteriosclerosis and two cases of normal pictures. The normalizations of blood pressures were recognized within six months after the operations in this series and 3 cases of cure, 5 cases of improvement and one unchanged case were included. The values of serum potassium, plasma renin activity and urinary aldosterone returned to the normal values after the operation in all the cases. We experienced difficulty in finding a small adenoma on the upper tail of the right adrenal in a case. It seems to be necessary for us to investigate completely and search thoroughly at the operation for the diagnosis of hyperplastic aldosteronism.
