巨大な精嚢腺嚢腫 症例報告ならびに文献の再検討

Abstract

An unusual case of cyst of the seminal vesicle has been observed. A man, 69-year-old was admitted to our clinic with a chief complaint of urinary retention. The clinical and roentgenologic examination showed a giant cyst at the retrovesical region, suggesting a right seminal vesicle origin. The above cyst was removed surgically. The clinical diagnosis was verified both anatomically and histologically. The postoperative course was uneventful and the patient was discharged in good condition. It should be stressed that a definite diagnosis of this disease is possible not only by clinical and roentgenographic but also by anatomical and histological findings. Out of 40 cases reported in the earlier literature, only 13 were re-evaluated as seminal vesicle cysts. Others were regarded as cystic lesions of the Wollfian duct, the Mullerian duct, the ejaclatory duct or unknown original organs. Our case was the 14th one and the largest cyst of all ever reported.
