高齢者泌尿科手術の臨床経験

Abstract

Clinical analysis was made on the in-patients over 60 years old at the Department of Urology, Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine during the period of 1964 to 1972. Aged patients occnpied 35 per cent of all in-patients, and about two thirds of them were admitted for neoplasm of bladder and benign prostatic hypertrophy. In analysis of the laboratory examinations, abnormality rates increased with age and became more remarkable after opeartion. There were 12 patients who died within one month of surgery, mortality rate being 1.9 per cent. In addition, more detailed observations for prostatectomy were discussed.
