同種腎移植における感染症に関連した心肺合併症について

Abstract

Infections and rejection are the most troublesome problems in renal homotransplantation. The present study is a retrospective analysis of the clinical course in 33 patients in a period of eight years from 1966 to 1973. The frequency of the infections has been regard with the long-term survival of homografts and recipients. Infection and graft failure with infection are the main causes of death. The use of high doses of immunosuppressive agents to combat rejection and maintain function in mis-matched recipients was considered an important factor of the incidence of infections. Homograft failure or cardio-pulmonary complication with infections had been lethal in this series. Prevention and management of these conditions were discussed.
