淋疾に対する Thiamphenicol glycinate(Neomyson G)の使用経験

Abstract

1. Thiamphenicol glycinate (Neomyson-G) was administered intramuscularly to 20 male patients with acute gonococcal urethritis in a dose of 1 g daily for a period of 3 to 4 days, a total dose of 3 to 4 g, and the rate of effectiveness was as high as 80%. 2. The sensitivity of gonococcus to thiamphenicol glycinate was such that its MIC was distributed in the range of 0.25 to 4mcg/dl, whereas the MIC of chloramphenicol determined in the same manner was in the range of 0.25 to 8mcg/dl. 3. The result obtained in the sensitivity test of thiamphenicol glycinate by the disc method was not in agreement with the clinical result. This disagreement seemed attributable to the disc used in the investigation. 4. There were no adverse side effects of thiamphenicol glycinate throughout the treatment period.
