前立腺肥大症に対するSH-582の使用経験

Abstract

Sixteen patients with prostatic hypertrophy, ages ranging from 54 to 84, were treated with SH-582. Ten patients received 300 mg of SH-582 once a week and 6 patients twice a week intramuscularly for 1 to 2 months up to a total of 1.2 g to 6.0 g. Favorable responses were clinically observed in 14 patients; residual urine decreased in 12, dysuria in 13, but nycturia in only 5 of those 14 patients. Palpation of the prostate demonstrated a mild reduction in 1 patient and no changes in other 15 patients. Treatment was especially effective III those patients with comparatively mild or less advanced prostatic hypertrophy. One patient complained of decreased libido and another one patient developed pain at the injection site.
