特異な転移を示した前立腺癌長期生存例 (付:本邦剖検例集計)

Abstract

A 68-year-old man was admitted on December 19, 1964, because of abnormal shadows of the vertebral columns and lungs. Dysuria and hematuria was not seen. A biopsy confirmed adenocarcinoma of the prostate and anti androgenic therapy was begun. Pulmonary metastases (pulmonary lymphangitic carcinomatosis) disappeared within three months. For five years the disease was stable. After seven year3 bone metastases were gradually spread. On April 1974 abnormal shadows of the lungs were found and he died on May 11, 1974. Pathological findings indicated multiple metastases (bones, lymph nodes, lungs and adrenals). It was thought that metastases to the lungs and adrenals were due to lymphatic routes.
