腎イメージング剤 99mTc-DMSの臨床評価

Abstract

We have evaluated the clinical usefulness of 99mTc-dimercaptosuccinate (DMS) as a renal imaging agent in 44 cases with a variety of renal diseases. In all patients, the static scintiphotos were obtained with a Nuclear Chicago Pho/Gamma HP camera attached to the high-resolution collimator, one hour after administration of 99mTc-DMS. In addition, perfusion images were made immediately after injection using time lapse camera. Five of these patients' scintiphotos were illustrated. The isthmus of horse-shoe kidneys usually not visualized by angiography was demonstrated clearly by scintiphotography with this agent. The cold areas in the polycystic kidneys with markedly reduced function were also delineated using this agent. In a case of chronic renal failure, the scan with the 203Hg-chlormerodrin failed to show a kidney image, but the kidneys were discernible with 99mTc-DMS. The perfusion images with this agents were not as good as that with 99mTc-DTPA but its static images were of high quality and most useful among other agents for renal imaging.
