乳幼児にみられた腎動脈瘤による腎血管性高血圧症の1例

Abstract

This is a report of renovascular hypertension seen in a boy of one-year and nine month-old having renal artery aneurysm. The patient developed pyrexia and dyspnea at his age of one year and three months, when cardiomegaly was noted. During the investigation of the heart disease, he was found to have hypertension. The results of various examinations such as plasma renin activity 7.20 ng/ml/h, plasma aldosterone 510mp/ml, IVP and renal arteriography led to th" diagnisos of renovascular hypertension due to the renal artery aneurysm on the left side. Nephrectomy was chosen as a treatment. Pre;)perative blood pressure was 21O-180/l20-100 mmHg. It started to decrease on the 15th postoperative day. At the present, one year postoperatively, the blood pressure is 110-100/70-60 mmHg and the boy is enjoying healthy life. This is the youngest patient of such condition reported in Japan.
