排尿時膀胱尿道造影のための新しい装置について

Abstract

The voiding cystourethrography is the most important and commonly performing examination for detecting vesicoureteral reflux and obstructive changes of the lower urinary tract such as bladder neck obstruction, urethral stricture, urethral valve and vesical or urethral diverticula. In this examination, however, it is often experienced that the patients, particulary female patients, are frequently unable to void due to psychological inhibition and unsatisfactory urine-collecting device. Therefore we have made a new urine-collecting device consisting of a small disposable urine cap, an upward and downward movable support and a gum tube. Herein we report that this new device is useful for taking the voiding cystourethrography in the upright position regardless of sex and age and also the satisfactory results for demonstrating the lower urinary tract during micturition were obtained.
