| 抄録: | For the purpose of preventing urinary tract infection following prostatectomy, the indwelling catheter was free in a day or two and the continuous suprapubic drainage was carried out. These 19 cases were compared with the previous 10 cases managed by the urethral catheter only. The incidence of postoperative infection could be reduced to 36% in this method, although it was noticed in 80% when the urethral catheter alone was performed. |
