Abstract

Position of the axial triradius of the palm prints was measured in 51 cases of Klinefelter's syndrome. With the method measuring the atd angle there was no significant difference from the normal control group, both male and female. On the other hand, with the method measuring the length of the axis, the position was significantly distal. There have been three different theories regarding the position of the axial triradius in Klinefelter's syndrome; namely, (1) no difference, (2) distally located and (3) proximally located. Our results showed little deviation from the normal individuals, and it was concluded that the difference comes from the defects of the method itself.
