| 抄録: | Pipemidic acid (PPA) was orally given to 20 cases of complicated urinary tract infections at the dosage of 1500-2000 mg for 7 to 21 days. Causative organisms were 7 strains of Proteus, 4 of Pseudomonas, 2 of H. alvei and E. herbicola, respectively, 1 of Serratia, E. coli, S. arizonae, Enterobacter and unidentified Gram-negative bacillus, respectively. Excellent or good clinical effects were obtained in 10 cases and the overall efficacy rate was 50%. Out of 20 isolated strains, 10 strains (50%) disappeared, 4 strians (20%) were substituted, 1 strain (0.5%) was unchanged and 5 strains (25%) were substituted or unchanged. No serious side effects were observed subjectively in all cases. Significant hematological and biochemical changes were not seen after administration of PPA. |
