多房性腎嚢胞について - 1成人例の経験 -

Abstract

An unusual case of multilocular cysts of the kidney was briefly reported. A 54-year-old woman was admitted to hospital with a history of abdominal discomfort and a left-sided abdominal mass. A diagnosis of probable simple renal cyst was made before operation. A large cystic tumor was seen arising from the lower half of the kidney and the remaining normal kidney was well separated from this mass. A partial nephrectomy was performed on 14th February 1975. Convalescence was uncomplicated. IVP in August 1976 showed the reconstructed kidney to be functioning satisfactorily. Microscopically, the embryonic elements in the septa of the cystic lesion had been shown by several workers but was not present in our case. Attention was drawn to the entity of multilocular cysts, entirely separate from multicystic kidney, polycystic kidney and simple renal cyst. We suggest that the infantile form may differ from the adult form in respect to the formation of cysts, although the gross apperance is similar.
