| 抄録: | During the last 5 years we have seen 18 cases of urinary retention in females. The mean age of the patients was 49 years and the range was 20 to 84 years. Etiologic factors in this series were faecal impaction in 4 cases, vesical calculi in 2, uterine prolapse in 1, radical hysterectomy of carcinoma of the uterus in 2, uterine Inyoma in 2, pregnancy and the puerperium in 2, herpes zoster in 1, aneurysm in 1, protruded lumbar disc in 1, and uncertain in 1. Indwelling catheterization was done on 18 patients for from 2 days to 3 months. The outcome was good in 15 cases, poor in I case, and unassessable in 2 cases. |
