進行膀胱癌に対するB-M療法の臨床的検討

Abstract

A 7-day intravenous administration of Bleomycin (5 mg/day) was followed by an administrationtion of Mitomycin C (10 mg/day) and this combined therapy enriched by a cobalt-60 radiation was designed every other week for 10 weeks in 7 patients with advanced bladder cancer. A satisfactory effect of this treatment was obtained in 4 of the 7 patients. A one-year follow up study, however, revealed poor results; one patient underwent total cystectomy, 4 patients died of the malignancy, and 2 patients were still on a prolonged chemotherapy for the progressing tumor. Most of the patients suffered from leukopenia, fever, anorexia, and general malaise more or less, and pulmonary fibrosis occurred in 2 patients.
