前立腺原発移行上皮癌の1例

Abstract

A 73-year-old man was admitted to our hospital in 1977 with chief complaint of asymptomatic gross hematuria. Although rectal examination was almost negative, tumor was found at the prostatic urethra by endoscopy. Diagnosis of primary transitional cell carcinoma of the prostate was established by transurethral biopsy which revealed transitional cell carcinoma. Total prostatectomy was performed. The histological diagnosis was mixed type of transitinal cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma. This patient is living well for 10 months since operation. The literatures were reviewed and clinical differentiation between transitional cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma of the prostate was briefly discussed.
