陰嚢内疾患におけるサーモグラフィの応用

Abstract

In 40 male patients with intrascrotal disease, scrotal thermography was performed. The maximal difference in temperature between the affected side and a symmetrical point or the contralateral side was measured. In acute epididymitis, seminoma, varicocele, hydrocele and spermatocele, scrotal temperature was found to be elevated. On the contrary, in teratoma, infarction, trauma and chronic epid.idymitis, scrotal temperature was found to be lowered. The relationship between thermographic pattern and various intrascrotal diseases was discussed. Consequently, scrotal thermography was suggested to be a useful and easy clinical method for the differential diagnosis of intrascrotal diseases. And it may be one method for studying the thermoregulatory mechanism of intrascrotal diseases, especially in the case of varicocele.
