| 抄録: | TSAA-291 was administered intramuscularly 400 mg (2 vials) a week for 13 weeks to 20 cases of advanced benign prostatic hypertrophy requiring operative treatments. In 2 cases (10%), a considerable reduction of the prostatic weight was noticed on measurement using transrectal ultrasonotomography. In other 8 cases (40%), reductive change was observed on the weight. Eight cases were closely followed up and no rebound effect was recognized after the completion of drug administration and reduced weight was kept. Relief of the symptoms or complaints was obtained in 17 cases (85%), and the decrease of nocturnal frequency in 14 cases (70%). Only one case needed an operative treatment after the completion of administration out of these 20 advanced cases. Clinical effectiveness was beyond our expectation. |
