前立腺肥大症における八味地黄丸の使用による排尿動態の観察

Abstract

Fifty-eight clinical cases consisting of 52 benign prostatic hypertrophy, 4 bladder neck sclerosis, neurogenic bladder and 1 psychosomatic pollakisuria, were treated by Hachimijiogan. 1) Thirty-five (67.3%) out of 52 cases of BPH showed favorable responses to the treatment with Hachimijiogan. 2) Twenty-three (56.1%) out of 41 cases having night pollakisuria, 23 (71.9%) out of 32 cases having residual urine and 8 (72.7%) out of 11 cases with prolonged micturition times showed effectiveness. 3) No remarkable change was observed in voiding cystourethrograph, cystoscopic examination, digital examination of the prostate, WBC in urinalysis, blood examination, blood chemistry and total renal function. 4) Side effects were present in 3 cases. (5.7%) 5) Hachimijiogan is an adequate drug for pre-surgical treatment and non-operative treatment of BPH.
