女子傍尿道腫瘍の1例

Abstract

The patient, a 42-year-old married woman, was admitted to our hospital with chief complaints of a painless mass at the external genitalia and the divided urinary stream for two-month duration. Local finding revealed an elastic soft tumor with shape and size of an egg which was attached to the posterior wall of the urethra. The surface of tumor was smooth. The physical and endoscopic examinations suggested a benign tumor. The removed mass was solid and oval in shape, 4.3×3.2×3.0 cm in size, 18 grams in weight. The cut surface was even with pink color. Histopathological diagnosis was benign leiomyoma. Our case was 25th case of leiomyoma and 57th case of the paraurethral tumor which has been reported in Japan. The literature was reviewed and clinicopathological aspects of this benign tumor were discussed.
