膀胱腫瘍に対するET-207膀胱内注入療法

Abstract

We instilled FT 207 (N/-(12-tetra-hydrouracil-5-fluorouracil) 2000-4000 mg (20-40 ml) intravesically in 24 cases of bladder tumor twice a week for a total of 10 instillations. The anti-tumor effect of this preparation was studied in 6 cases which were treated for the first time. As a result, there were temporary clearance of tumor in 1 case, regression in 2 cases, and 1 unchanged case, but in no case was complete clearance observed. As to the effect to prevent recurrence, recurrence was noted in 8 out of 16 cases with intravesical instillation)of FT 207 alone and 6 out of8 cases with combinational use of [60]Co irradiation of the bladder and pelvic region and intravesical instillation of FT 207 during a 23-month observation. Irritative symptoms, of the bladder leukopenia and other side-effects were not observed during the period of of intravesical instillation. The anti-tumor effect and recurrence-preventing effect of intravesical instillation of FT 207 appear to be lower than those of other anti-cancer drugs. However, it should be noted that the lymph node levels of FT 207, when instilled intravesically, are higher than those of other anti-cancer drugs. If the method of administration is studied durther, this preparation is expected to exert effect on infiltrative tumor.
